About HookgapBot

HookgapBot makes a small number of public requests when a Hookgap user checks a domain: DNS lookups through a public resolver, one request each to the homepage over HTTP and HTTPS, and, if MTA-STS is announced, the MTA-STS policy file. It follows at most three redirects and reads at most 100 KB.

It does not crawl, submit forms, log in, scan ports or test for vulnerabilities. Watched domains are rechecked at most once a week.
